Entrepreneurs
Applicants in this category should have a minimum net worth of CAN $ 300,000.00, usually most would have accumulated more than the stipulated amount. It is important to note that this accumulation should be legally obtained. The business experience is taken into account and the applicant has to prove that he or she has the capability to actively participate in the active and ongoing management of the qualifying business. The business must create or maintain at least one full time job. These landing conditions have to be met within the first three years of landing in Canada as a Landed Immigrant. Every six months a report has to be submitted to a designated CIC office for progress and follow up of the landed immigrants efforts to meet their conditions of landing.

Investors

An investor is required to invest Can $ 400,000.00 placed with the Receiver General of Canada . The investments are usually made through Banks and financial institutions. These investments can also be financed through financial institutions and are refunded after a period of five years. During this period the interest and other gains from these deposits are utilized by participating Provinces for creating jobs and economic growth.

The investor is required to possess legally obtained Can $ 800,000.00 in net assets and the deposit of Can $ 400,000.00 with the Provinces is guaranteed for return after the expiry of the deposit period.

Self Employed
This category of Immigrants is designed to include cultural artists like musicians and dancers besides prominent sports persons and farmers. The applicants should have the ability to establish their livelihood by creating self-employment in cultural activities, athletics or in managing a farm in Canada .

Work Permits
