Provincial Nomination Program

Almost all provinces in Canada have an agreement with the Government of Canada that permits them to play a more active role in selecting immigrants who wish to settle in that province. Anyone desiring to immigrate as a Provincial Nominee must first apply to the province which considers the applications based on the intentions of the new settler.

Prior to applying in this category the process of provincial nomination has to be met

Alberta British Columbia
Manitoba New Brunswick
Newfound Land & Labrador Nova Scotia
Prince Edward island Saskatchewan
Yukon

Note: After you have been nominated by a province, you have to make a separate application to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) for permanent residence. A CIC officer will assess your application based on Canadian immigration regulations.

Provincial nominees are not assessed on the six selection factors of the Federal Skilled Workers Program.
